Do You See Me Now? is a portrait of emotional exposure and painful emptiness.
A tear in the figure's chest reveals an open wound, echoed by the ripped fabric that hangs loosely from the body. The threadbare cloth speaks to the experience of moving through the world without protection, where every encounter can be felt with painful intensity.
Looking upward, the figure searches not only for relief and meaning, but also to be seen. The work occupies the space between despair and hope, asking what remains when the heart has been broken open and exposed to the world, and whether healing can emerge from such vulnerability.
The distressed red frame extends the narrative beyond the canvas. Beneath layers of worn black, red emerges like blood beneath skin, transforming the frame into a continuation of the wound itself. The frame becomes an exposed boundary, surrounding the figure with the raw presence of an open heart.
